We are very excited to announce our participation in the Co-op Local Community Fund! We are currently a Co-op Local Community Fund cause and you can support us when you shop.

Equipment is vital for the club to maintain safety, enhance development, promote inclusivity, maintain facilities, and support growth and expansion, allowing us to provide high-quality football.

Our new equipment project will ensure that more children and young people can access football to help improve mental health and have a sense of belonging in their community. Well-equipped teams often attract more community engagement and support. Receiving funding for equipment ensures that the cost of playing the sport is kept low for families during the cost-of-living crisis. It is so important that the community can continue to provide a safe place for children and young people. In addition, new equipment can reduce the risk of injuries during training sessions and matches. Using properly maintained and fitted goalposts can minimise the chance of accidents, and protective gear such as shin guards and goalkeeper gloves can help prevent injuries.

Joining the Co-op community is simple - for just £1 you can become a member and select Edinburgh South Community Sports Club as your chosen good cause. Then, every time you purchase a Co-op branded product and use your membership card we will receive a generous donation!

You can also go to the App Store and when you download the Co-op app you'll be asked if you have a card - if you do enter the details and then you can access the app and choose your cause through the Community tab. If not, sign up and then you can do the same.

Alternatively, you can go into one of the Co-op shops and purchase a temporary membership card for £1 cash and complete details online later. If you are already a member just go onto your online Co-op membership account and select Edinburgh South Community Sports Club as your chosen cause.
